Spoon and Spatula opened for business in South Ogden in 2013.

Welcome to Spoon and Spatula Cooking School, a beloved culinary haven since 2013. Founded in South Ogden, we have proudly provided hands-on cooking classes for kids, teens, and adults. Our mission is to make cooking fun, educational, and accessible for all ages.

Originally opened by Staci Lane, Spoon and Spatula has been owned and operated by Julia Green since 2020. With a background as a professional chef and educator, Julia brought her passion for culinary arts and teaching to the forefront of our classes. Under her leadership, we created an environment where students could learn essential cooking skills, explore new cuisines, and build confidence in the kitchen.

In June 2022, we made the difficult decision to close our brick-and-mortar location to focus on raising our growing family. Julia and her husband, Davis Green, welcomed their third child and decided to put the business on pause to devote more time to their little ones. We were humbled by the outpouring of support from our community during this time. Thank you so much for that! We’ve had numerous requests to reopen and continue sharing our culinary expertise.

In response to this overwhelming demand, we are excited to announce the launch of our Home Chef Academy. This program is designed for anyone who wants to become a better cook, offering the same engaging and educational experiences of our in-person classes directly to your home. Each week, subscribers will receive a video lesson, shopping list, lesson plan, and teaching materials designed to enhance your cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen. While focused on improving your own culinary abilities, the program also provides opportunities to share the experience with your kids, making cooking a fun and enriching activity for the whole family.

Our long-term goal is to reopen a new physical location when we can balance both our family and business commitments. In the meantime, we are dedicated to providing high-quality online content and occasional private classes to keep our community connected and inspired.

Stay up to date with our latest offerings and future plans by following us on Facebook or Instagram @spoonandspatula.co or subscribing to our email list. We appreciate your patience and support as we transition to this new chapter.

We are passionate about the content and experiences we have offered over the years and are excited to continue our culinary journey with you. Thank you for being part of the Spoon and Spatula family!
